New Sunday topics and credits.
The Sunday agenda has been revamped to include more clinical presentations that offer CME credits. Sunday will now cover: Practice Management – Profit Enhancement through Frugal Innovation and What’s New in 2013, Ophthalmic Risk Management, Ethical Challenges and Dilemmas, Hawaiian Eye Foundation Awards and Life Outside of Ophthalmology: Living and Giving. Also, we will continue the tradition of hosting all Hawaiian Eye and Retina program attendees together on Sunday.
A new and improved Hilton.
Join us at the beautifully renovated Hilton Waikoloa Village, the largest hotel on the Big Island that can comfortably accommodate us in terms of meeting space and attendee rooms. The meeting has not been to the Big Island since 2008; since then, they've completed guest room, restaurant, tram and boat renovations. We’re very excited to see the brand new Hilton property!
More credits overall.
More than ever before, Comprehensive Ophthalmologists and Retina Specialists can earn MORE AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™, Nurses and Allied Health Professionals can earn MORE CNE credits and Administrators will continue to receive a certificate of participation.
CME Banyan Tree Sessions return.
This year we introduced physician attendees to interactive Banyan Tree Sessions. They were held in the evenings with wine, beer and light snacks available. Each night, a different Moderator and Panel were present to informally speak to a specific topic. Attendees were given the opportunity to have face-to-face discussions with faculty and colleagues while earning an additional AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
